Just like to say a big thank you to The Hinchliffe for making the night I proposed to my fiancee so special. It was back in December 2009 and It couldn't have been more perfect. Excellent place, brilliant food and one of the few proper traditional English pubs we have left in the area. Definitely recommended.

On 20-10-2010 "Love this place! My partner and I went there for dinner this evening, after passing it so many times, and promising ourselves we would call in some time. We booked our table for 6.30pm and we were welcomed with great service, gorgeous food and friendly locals. Even though it is only a Wednesday, it is a busy place; the tables were full with returning customers. We will definitely be going back, we are only sorry that it took us so long to try it out in the first place! "

Hi, ate at the Hinchliffe yesterday for my birthday meal and it was perfect as usual, took some friends with us who havnt been before and they loved it! The Hinchliffe is my favourite restaurant and the chef even made me some sweet chilli sauce as I couldnt find it on the menu !!

Stopping for a meal can be hit and miss and you can't always tell from the outside. We stopped at the Hinchcliffe on the way back from the local clog maker and had both a lovely meal and lovely service. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and home made/cooked - try the home made rice pud!!!
Even the bread is freshly made by the chef in the morning.
A wonderful experience for both of us.
